A Plan For Your Consideration

The PLAN is a blueprint for a new nation.  It is a treatise on how to regain the principles and values given to us by our Founding Fathers.  It has been written by a trained geographer and does not advocate violence.  It is not for sale but everyone is welcome to download and distribute it.  It is copyrighted so please do not sell it for profit.  It is my attempt to pass on those values to the future generations.
If you have difficulty downloading, go to trueglobalization.com.
At that site click on THE PLAN where you will find the treatise.
Thank you,
Larry Porter

Shuler voted in FAVOR of raising the debt ceiling and the PAYGO

In spite of promises made on his website and in disregard for all economic common sense, our representative, Heath Shuler, voted in favor of raising the limit on the national debt by $1.9 trillion. In doing so, Mr. Shuler displays his inability to comprehend the basic fact that continued deficit spending will lead our nation to an inevitable financial collapse. The appropriate analogy would be a family, already maxed out on credit card debt, requesting the bank raise their card limit so they could borrow even more money. This obviously would not happen in real life, but our federal government doesn’t operate by the same economic rules that govern our personal lives.

Some would argue that, without an increase in the debt ceiling, the government will not be able to fund next month’s social security checks, medicare reimbursements, military pay checks, and interest payments on the national debt. The obvious answer is to immediately eliminate all funding for useless, non-essential earmarks that serve only to protect the careers of our corrupt politicians. A recently-released list of these projects reveals an obscene waste of taxpayers’ money. Maintaining the current ceiling on the national debt could have forced congress to make the hard decisions necessary to move toward the fiscally responsible, balanced budget needed to avoid financial catastrophe.

How to Fix the Economy

Our elected officials are unable to correct the economy because they try to apply political solutions to everything – this isn’t a political problem, it’s a financial problem. Anyone with common sense knows what to do. Here’s my list. Call your Senators and Representative and voice your opinion.

  • Cancel the stimulus package. It hasn’t created any jobs, and won’t.
  • Cancel the Cap & Trade legislation. This is the biggest tax increase in US history. All this will do is drive jobs offshore and raise prices for goods and services.
  • Cancel the health care legislation. Most estimates are that this will cost over $1 trillion; something we can’t afford right now.
  • Stop all bailouts. Companies who bad decisions deserve to fail. Stop rewarding bad behavior.
  • Cut corporate taxes by 50%. This will increase US competitiveness and create jobs.
  • Cut capital gains taxes by 50%. This encourages economic reinvestment.
  • Freeze government hiring at all levels. Don’t replace retirees.
  • Halt “gifts” to other nations. Our economy is in trouble; let’s rebuild our economy  first.
  • Stop deficit spending. Politicians know what tax revenues will be in a given year. Don’t spend more than that.
  • Start work on building 5 nuclear power plants, and start another 5 in 2011 and 2013. Nuclear power will help wean us off foreign oil and is better for the environment than burning fossil fuels. France generates 80% of its electricity from nuclear; we’re less than 20%.

It’s this simple! If elected officials won’t make this happen, we need to replace them with one who will!

Get involved! Join our 9-12 Movement. Our next meeting can be found on the Events page.
